Dear Practice Members,
I sincerely hope that you and your family and friends are doing well at this challenging time. So much has changed in the world since our last visit and I sincerely regret that your NetworkSpinal care has been abruptly interrupted. Your health and well-being as well as that of our community is always my primary concern. I would like to take this opportunity to touch base with you and give you an update onthe status of my office. If you have any questions, concerns or would like some advice about your health and wellbeing, please feel free reach out to me by txt or email at any time.
Although the Province has mandated that chiropractic is an essential service, In order to meet the necessary precautions mandated by Ontario Public Health and by the College of Chiropractors of Ontario(CCO), my ability to be of service is limited to acute care only. This is really not in line with the purpose of the care that I offer in this office as I provide chiropractic as a means of increasing your health and wellbeing, and hence your ability to be healthy and resistant to the effects of stress and outside influences, including viruses! Great health is the best defense against any disease.
If you find yourself experiencing a change in functional abilities, having restrictions, injuries, or pain which interferes with your ability to carry out normal functioning, or if you are feeling overwhelmed and in need of support, please feel free to reach out to me.
As a community we have been put on PAUSE. Pause on work, pause on school, pause on in-person relationships and pause on common sense. However, I truly feel that now more than ever, it is critical not to press pause on your health.
There are a number of ways to continue working on your health and wellbeing:
Stay hydrated. Make sure that you either drink enough water or consume enough fresh ripe fruits that you pass relatively clear urine 8-10 times per day.
Make sure that you are consuming enough calories to support your level of activity. Never under eat and stay away from processed foods.
Exercise daily. Find an activity that you can do safely and that you enjoy. Get your heart rate up for a sustained amount of time.
Limit your screen times. Don’t stare at artificial lights! Especially no phones or other devices in bed.
Get to bed by 10:00 at the latest.
Find ways to de-stress that works for you.
Resume your chiropractic care as soon as this is feasible.
If you have been contemplating about adopting a more plant based dietary lifestyle, I have been flourishing on a vegan lifestyle for the past 7 years and can offer you some wisdom and advice on how to do this successfully. This time is a great opportunity to modify your dietary habits for the better and to experiment with some delicious new culinary creations that will leave you feeling energized and vibrant. Whole food plant based staple foods are economical and abundantly available in most supermarkets at this time and you will never lack variety or flavour in your meals.
